We are seeking a multi-functional individual that can be both professional and friendly.
This position requires both face-to-face interaction with patients as well as detailed paper, phone, and computer work. Positive interaction with other staff members is crucial for office productivity.
30-36 hours/ week Mon-Fri and alternating Saturdays.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Review provider charts and complete Pre-charting. Work up patient in a timely manner, including: obtain vital signs, urinalysis and blood glucose, documenting all information in EMR, Collect and prepare specimens and relevant documentation for transportation to off-site laboratory, assuring accuracy in labeling and documenting. Assist with, and set up for any procedures that have been taught through formal training. Prepare and replenish medical supplies. Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in procedures related to patient examinations. Provides instructions and education to patients as instructed by providers.
Preferred:
Medical Assistant experience in the medical office. Required Experience in customer support and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work as a team player
